Job summary

Milton Town School District seeks a dynamic, adaptable full-time Substitute to cover daily teacher absences across our elementary and middle schools in Milton, Vermont. Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree, 60+ college credits, or passing score on the ParaPro exam required; Bachelor's degree or Vermont Teaching License preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience working with youth in K-8 educational, recreational, or childcare settings preferred.
• Background Clearance: Fingerprint-based background check required prior to hire.
• Citizenship/residency/work visa: Required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons as provided by classroom teachers across grades PreK–8.
• Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and administration.
• Adapt to changing daily assignments between elementary and middle school.
