Job summary

Kennedy Middle School, part of Natick Public Schools, is seeking a Long Term Substitute School Counselor for grade 6. The role focuses on student well-being, college and career planning, and collaboration with staff from November 20, 2026 to April 5, 2027.

The candidate will support 6th graders with socio-emotional needs, work with families, and participate in IEP/504 processes as required. This is a temporary position at Kennedy Middle School in Natick, MA.

Qualifications

• MA Degree in School Counseling is required.
• MA DESE Certification and Licensure as a School Counselor 5-12, or pending certification.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and Portuguese are desirable but not required.
• Experience with Google Suite and PowerSchool preferred, but training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Respond to personal, social-emotional, and mental health needs of students.
• Provide direct service through individual meetings and classroom seminars.
• Assist students with post-secondary planning and goal setting.
• Collaborate with administration, teachers, and student support providers.
• Lead IEP and 504 meetings as needed and support families.
