Job summary

Orono Public School District is seeking a Middle School Golf Coach to lead boys and girls in a competitive program. You will provide coaching and instruction, align with a philosophy that supports student-athlete development, and work with the youth and sports coordinator.

Season runs April 8 through May 21 with practices Mon/Wed and Tue/Thu 3-5 pm. You will communicate with students, parents, coaches and administrators about program needs and developments, emphasizing growth, academics, and

Qualifications

Understanding of fundamental skills and strategies.
Effective practice management skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in collaboration with others.
Understanding of the role of parent involvement and the ability to collaborate with parents.
Commitment to supporting the whole student/athlete in athletic competition, academics, and in character development.

Responsibilities

Provide coaching and instruction to middle school boys and girls in a competitive athletic program.
Season starts April 8 and ends May 21; practices are Mon./Wed. and Tue./Thurs. 3 - 5 pm.
Work collaboratively with youth and sports coordinator to implement a coaching philosophy that is supportive of student/athletes' development.
Communicate effectively with student/athletes, coaching staff, parents, and building administrators, regarding program needs and developments.
