Job summary

Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, MD is seeking a collaborative French Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, 10-month role primarily serves the Middle School, with a possibility of teaching one Upper School French section based on enrollment and needs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or French, with experience teaching Middle School French and a willingness to engage with Upper School students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, French, or a related field.
• Experience teaching French at the Middle School level; experience with Upper School is a plus.
• Ability to teach across Middle and Upper School as needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach a full-time French load, primarily in the Middle School, with a potential Upper School section.
• Design engaging, student-centered lessons to develop language proficiency and intercultural competence.
• Communicate regularly with students and parents.
• Integrate educational technology into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with World Languages Department and staff across divisions.
• Support students outside class time and participate in advisory, clubs, and events.
