Position Overview

Ashland High School is seeking an assistant coach for middle school football for the Fall 2025 season. Coaches are actively engaged in the community and embrace the mission and values of the Athletic Department and APS School District.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, character development, and providing direction to student-athletes
• Fostering skills, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork
• Interacting thoughtfully and respectfully with student-athletes, coaches, staff, parents, and community
• Following the school's mission and maintaining positive communication, organizational skills, and safety awareness

Reporting

The assistant coach reports to the Athletic Director.

Requirements

• Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the high school level or above (preferred)
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Availability for practices after school, weekends, and evenings
• Ability to establish team goals and rules and communicate them effectively
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
