Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to relationship-centered teaching, restorative practices, inclusion, and place-based education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging ELA lessons aligned with North Carolina standards.
• Support students in developing strong reading, writing, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Differentiate instruction to meet a range of student needs.
• Collaborate with EC staff to support students in inclusion classes and implement student accommodations and services.
• Use student work and assessment data to guide instruction and provide additional support when needed.
• Maintain accurate grades and communicate regularly with students and families.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in schoolwide activities and professional learning.
