Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning within district resources.
• Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Employs instructional techniques and media suited to location and student needs.
• Strives to implement district education philosophy and objectives.
• Protects students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Evaluates student progress regularly.
• Maintains accurate records as required by policy and regulation.
• Upholds school rules and Board policy.
• Makes provisions to be available to students and parents outside instructional hours when needed.
• Attends and participates in faculty meetings.
• Cooperates with staff to plan instructional goals and methods.
• Assists in selecting books and instructional materials.
• Accepts responsibility for co-curricular activities as assigned.
• Establishes/open lines of communication with students and parents about progress.
• Establishes cooperative relations with others.
• Pursues self-educational growth through reading, workshops, and coursework.
