The role focuses on small-group and one-on-one support, implementing evidence-based interventions in reading, math, and writing, and monitoring progress for continuous improvement. You will collaborate with general education teachers, maintain compliance with IDEA and state regulations, and engage families and support

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid North Carolina teaching license with an Exceptional Children’s (EC) endorsement.
• Prior experience as an EC teacher, preferably in a resource or inclusion setting.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, accommodations, and assistive technology.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Passion for student growth and a commitment to ensuring all learners succeed.

Responsabilidades

• Provide small-group and one-on-one specialized instruction in a resource setting to address students' IEP goals.
• Implement structured, evidence-based interventions that support student learning in reading, math, and writing, tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure instruction is aligned to address both students' IEP goals and grade level learning.
• Use progress monitoring tools and formative assessments to track student growth and adjust instruction as needed.
• Ensure students are provided appropriate accommodations and modifications in alignment with their IEPs.
• Participate in MTSS and RTI processes to identify student needs and appropriate interventions.
