Job summary

Westfield Middle School East is seeking a respected educator to serve as principal, reporting to the Superintendent. The role oversees all teachers, school programs, and strategic planning with staff to realize each student’s potential.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the PTO and community groups, implementing district policies, and coordinating curricular development with building staff. Initial duties include personnel oversight and resource management.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Administrative license and meet state requirements.
• Middle school teaching and administration experience preferred.
• Experience leading PLC processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain channels of communication interpreting school policy to staff, parents, and community.
• Keep Superintendent informed about administrative issues.
• Improve conditions under which children are educated.
• Organize and administer building policies per district policies.
• Make class assignments and organize staff/building activities.
• Supervise clerical functions, records, and safety of funds and property.
• Prepare and submit all reports required by Central Office.
• Evaluate teaching staff and manage reappointments and tenure.
