Job summary

Reporting to the Superintendent of Schools, the role requires district-wide collaboration, staff oversight, and a commitment to equitable practices and community partnerships to support all learners.

Qualifications

• Must hold CT CSDE Intermediate Administrative/Supervisory Certificate (092).
• Advanced degree in education or a related field.
• At least five years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• At least three years of administrative experience.
• Knowledge of Magnet School program development, marketing, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Directs the overall management of the school, including academics, programs, student and family engagement, and safe operations.
• Provides instructional leadership to improve Tier 1-3 instruction and student outcomes.
• Leads, supervises, evaluates, and develops staff across certified and non-certified roles.
• Fosters an inclusive, equity-focused school culture with PBIS and family partnerships.
• Collaborates with district leaders on curriculum, special education, magnet programs, scheduling and budgets.
