Russellville School District is seeking a dedicated middle education teacher to deliver content, develop aligned lesson plans, and manage classroom rules with safety in mind. You will use varied materials to reach diverse learners while supporting struggling students and challenging advanced ones.

The role requires collaboration with staff, attendance at meetings, and participation in after-hours events as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in the subject area.
• Teaching license or plan for obtaining one approved by the district.
• Passion and love for learning and teaching students.
• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Following all TESS rubric 'proficient' level expectations for their role.
• Developing lesson plans in the relevant subject area and grade and ensuring all lessons align with curriculum objectives.
• Drawing up classroom rules and safety regulations and ensuring all students understand them.
• Using a range of appropriate teaching materials and methods to deliver content.
• Providing additional support and interventions for struggling students and extra resources to those ahead of the class.
• Preparing students for tests, exams, presentations, experiments, and other assessments.
• Grading assessments and providing feedback and reports to students and parents.
• Attending and interacting in staff and parent meetings to provide helpful recommendations or voice concerns.
• Working at the building for the established hours of 7:45am - 4:00pm
• Establishing rapport and professional relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Supervising students in class, during events, and on field trips.
• Monitoring students' overall wellbeing and liaising with school counselors and other staff members when there are concerns or issues.
• Attending ongoing learning initiatives like workshops, lectures, conferences, and other events where you can expand education networks.
• Attending 1-3 night events such as family nights, literacy nights, award assemblies as requested by the principals.
• Collaborating with colleagues to analyze data.
