Qualifications

• Valid State Teaching Certificate for Specific Subject Area and/or Grade Level.
• Experience or ability to plan lessons using KCAS standards.
• Ability to maintain a respectful classroom and manage student behavior.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plans lessons using the Kentucky Academic Standards to meet student needs and outcomes.
• Creates and maintains a classroom environment of respect and rapport.
• Prepares lesson plans aligned to KCAS and maintains plans for three years.
• Communicates learning objectives and expectations to students.
• Follows safety procedures and district policies.
• Maintains regular attendance and professional appearance.
• Participates in staff meetings and professional development.
• Communicates with families about student progress and concerns.
