Job summary

Shasta College seeks a part-time TRIO ETS Middle School Program Coordinator to provide academic, college and career readiness services to middle school participants. You will recruit, advise, tutor, and coordinate workshops, field trips and events at select south Shasta County sites.

The role emphasizes outreach to diverse populations and close collaboration with families, school staff and community partners for student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in education or related field.
• Experience building positive relationships with students and families.
• Experience coordinating programs and collaborating with school and community partners.
• Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for program activities to promote student success.
• Recruit students and assist with applications and enrollment.
• Coordinate field trips and campus tours.
• Plan and implement workshops and meetings for students and community.
• Maintain program records and deadlines.
• Collaborate with manager and staff to track outcomes.
• Represent program to campus and external partners.
• Support grant/funding objectives where applicable.
