Salt Lake Community College seeks an Advisor to provide guidance on career, post‑secondary education, and financial aid to eligible students across multiple schools in Utah. The role includes developing workshops, supervising peer mentors, and coordinating campus visits and field trips.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field and 1–4 years in TRIO or student services; travel and evening/weekend activities may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in education, psychology, counseling, STEM, or related field.
• 1–4 years of direct, paid, professional TRIO or student services experience.
• Valid driver’s license; travel to multiple schools; approved to drive participants.
• Background checks required by districts noted.

Responsabilités

• Advise prospective first‑generation college students on academic and career goals.
• Provide case management to identify goals and resources for students with disabilities.
• Maintain knowledge of higher education policies, enrollment, and financial aid.
• Develop and lead workshops and train peer mentors.
• Plan campus visits and field trips; deliver presentations.
