Job summary

Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship is seeking a Classroom Teacher to plan, organize and implement an instructional program that guides students toward their full academic potential. The role runs 7:30 a.m.

– 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, within a school committed to entrepreneurship education. The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Education and active PA teaching certification (grades 4–8 or 7–12).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Education is required
• Active PA teaching certification in grades 4–8 or 7–12 is required
• Business, Computer and Information Technology preferred
• Extensive knowledge of Pennsylvania State Standards and Common Core
• 3 years experience in teaching a non-basal curriculum

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned to Pennsylvania standards and evaluate progress
• Use data and observations to guide learning and support student achievement
• Differentiate instruction and implement interventions for all learners
• Support PHCSE Microsociety and Entrepreneurship curricula
• Maintain classroom management and administer assessments
• Participate in meetings and ongoing professional development
