Job summary

Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship seeks a Classroom Teacher to lead instruction and guide students toward academic excellence. You will use data from assessments to tailor lessons, align with PA standards, and support the school’s Microsociety and Entrepreneurship curricula.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Education required.
• Active PA K-8 certification required.
• Extensive knowledge of PA State Standards and Common Core.
• Experience teaching a non-basal curriculum.
• Minimum 3 years of lead classroom teacher experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to students and plan instructional programs.
• Utilize data and observations to guide learning and improve achievement.
• Implement PVAAS and achievement data to monitor student progress.
• Differentiate instruction with accommodations and interventions.
• Support Entrepreneurial education within Microsociety curricula.
• Organize and assess coherent instruction and student assessments.
• Apply STEM Standards of Practice to instruction.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education

PA K-8 certification

Knowledge of Pennsylvania State Standards & Common Core

Experience teaching a non-basal curriculum

Lead classroom teacher experience (3+ years)
