Job summary

Heritage Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated Middle School Boys Head Basketball Coach to lead our team, develop players’ skills, and foster a positive team culture.

The successful candidate will plan practices, devise game-day strategies, and provide feedback to help players reach their full potential while ensuring safety during all activities. Strong communication and collaboration with the Head Coach and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching at least at the middle school level is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate players.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and coaching staff.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive basketball program for the middle school team.
• Plan and lead daily practices and game-day strategies.
• Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players to improve skills.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff.
• Ensure safety and well-being of players during practices and games.
• Attend all team meetings, practices, and games.
