Job summary

Heritage Christian Academy seeks an enthusiastic Assistant Basketball Coach to join our athletics program. You will work with the Head Coach to develop training plans, support players, and help with game day preparations.

Responsibilities include organizing practices, attending pre-season meetings, coaching in contests, and supporting awards events. Evening and weekend availability is required to fit the needs of our student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
• Strong knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and other members of the coaching staff.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Attend all pre-season meetings as scheduled by the Head Coach.
• Organize and supervise practices; ensure players leave campus after practice unless another activity is planned at HCA.
• Coach your team at all scheduled contests.
• Attend any scheduled awards events.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
