Job summary

Heritage Christian Academy seeks an Assistant Basketball Coach to support the Head Coach in developing training programs and guiding players toward their potential. You will help run practices, implement game plans, and contribute to a positive team culture.

The ideal candidate has coaching experience, a solid understanding of basketball rules and techniques, and strong communication skills. Evening and weekend availability is required to accommodate games and events.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching, preferably at middle school level.
• Strong basketball rules, strategies, and technique knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Head Coach and staff.
• Flexible to evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-season meetings with the Head Coach.
• Organize and supervise practices; ensure players leave the school site after practice.
• Coach the team at all scheduled contests.
• Attend any scheduled awards events.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
