Qualifications
- Must possess high school diploma
- Extensive experience with track & field
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work within a track curriculum to support a program from MS – varsity level
- Strong personal/social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media
- Experience and/or willingness to organize and assist with in-season practices, meets, and invites (Preferred)
- Possesses knowledge of the MHSAA rules and regulations (Preferred)
- Willingness to build meaningful positive relationships with staff and student body (Preferred)
- Possesses the ability to motivate athletes to work toward program philosophy/goals (Preferred)
Job Description
- Coordinate and assist in-season practice/conditioning opportunities for grades 6-8
- Assist the program under the direction of the High School Boys and Girls programs and coaches to optimize youth opportunities
- Teach and instruct the sport of track, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes
- Provide coaching and guidance to athletes prior to, during and after competition.
