Middle School Assistant eSports Coach - Scott MS

Position Overview

Reports to the Director of Athletics and collaborates with them to develop an annual competition schedule and game selection strategy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Recruit and retain students for the eSports program.
  2. Collaborate with other on-campus departments.
  3. Manage practice, competition, and team-building activities.
  4. Oversee the program budget.
  5. Provide input on game selection for varsity and non-varsity competitions.
  6. Recommend equipment upgrades and oversee maintenance.
  7. Coordinate off-season activities, practice, and competition schedules.
  8. Organize team travel when needed.
  9. Conduct camps, clinics, and promotional events to market the program.
  10. Monitor and mentor students' academic and mental wellbeing.
  11. Review league, conference, and affiliate agreements, contracts, and compliance.
  12. Ensure all program activities reflect the school's character and mission.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Employment Information
  • Recommended annually by the building principal and approved by the Superintendent. Compensation is determined by the School City of Hammond agreement.
  • Annual performance evaluations.
