Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience delivering academic support and targeted interventions to middle school students is preferred.
  • Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of adolescent development and instructional strategies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Support: Provide small-group instruction, previewing, reinforcement, and review of reading, writing, and math concepts aligned with student learning goals.
  • Intervention Planning: Collaborate with the principal and teaching staff to identify, plan, and deliver effective small-group interventions.
  • Progress Monitoring: Collect and document student performance data to monitor growth and inform instruction.
  • Student Autonomy: Implement learning and organizational strategies to strengthen academic skills while fostering student independence.
  • Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with parents as directed by supervising teachers and school policies.
  • Professional Standards: Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to the professional standards expected of instructional staff.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Middle School Principal.
