Woodbridge School District in Delaware is seeking an Academic Intervention Teacher for Woodbridge Middle School (WMS).

The 10-month, benefit-eligible role focuses on supporting students struggling in ELA and Math, using data-driven approaches to plan instruction and monitor progress. The specialist collabo­rates with teachers, helps develop interventions, and contributes to MTSS and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for a Delaware teaching license, preferably in middle/secondary ELA.
• Minimum of four years of successful teaching in a K-12 classroom or similar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MTSS and Common Core Standards across content areas (ELA/Math).
• Experience working with students in small group settings for interventions.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and professional communication.

Responsabilités

• Work with at‑risk students in ELA and Math, providing targeted support to improve performance.
• Utilize data analysis to enhance instructional strategies and student achievement.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to design, deliver, and assess effective instruction.
• Develop and implement intervention programs and monitor progress.
• Participate in professional learning communities to support staff growth.
• Coordinate parent engagement activities to inform families of progress.
• Serve on MTSS team, facilitating data meetings and documenting interventions.
• Work with district instructional specialists to align goals across schools.
• Document interventions, progress monitoring, and outcomes; support PLCs.
