Role Title:

Operations Support Analyst

Department: Operations

Department overview:

The Analyst role will be in the Mortgage-Backed Securities Operations Support Group which sits within the wider Operations team.

The Support Group currently has teams in multiple global locations directly supporting the Trading desk & Portfolio Managers. The group supports all aspects of trade processing, trade flow across various products and works closely with various internal groups (Operations, Risk, Technology, Compliance) to identify & resolve issues, enhance & integrate new processes, and technology as well as help to establish & police best practices.

Role overview:

Sitting with the Trading desk and under the supervision of the Operations lead, the candidate will be covering the Trading desk with main responsibilities including:

• Timely & accurate processing of new trades that do not automatically process across various financial instruments as well as trade modifications/cancellations and other trade life cycle events. Product coverage scope to be rolled out in phases and overseen by the Operations lead.
• Assist the Operations lead with coordinating post-trade issues by liaising with various internal groups to resolve exceptions/trade flow/P&L & risk issues on the day
• Maintain clear communication with Trading desk and Operations Lead when picking up items from communications channels and manage expectations of the end user as requests accumulate
• Ensure all daily tasks are complete before end of day and any pending items are communicated to Operations lead and handed over to appropriate teams where relevant
• Escalate any issues timely to Operations lead and where appropriate Trading desk or Management
• This role is office based 5 days a week
• Adherence to regulatory and firm compliance policies

This role will not involve any execution or trading activity.

Experience required:

• Prior experience within an established financial services organization is required
• University Degree qualification or equivalent with a 3.4 GPA or higher
• Experience working with various internal/external teams managing/coordinating multiple tasks is preferred
• Basic knowledge of financial products is an advantage
