Role:

The Market Data Team within the Point72 Data Services Team is integral to supporting the firm’s real-time, reference, and fundamental market data needs. We are seeking a Market Data Operations Analyst to join our team and contribute to our expanding market data requirements and strategic business initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with our investment professionals and collaborate with cross-functional business stakeholders within the firm. You will assist in managing the firm’s relationships with market data vendors, exchange and service providers as well as supporting the full life cycle of market data procurement, contract negotiation, inventory and expense management.

Core Responsibilities:

• Contribute to building strong external relationships across Point72’s existing market data providers, including third party data vendors, exchanges, and service providers; ensure we secure favorable license terms, receive excellent client support, and have access to a wide range of content and services
• Contribute to building internal relationships across investment teams by managing market data requests; assist with onboarding new content, set-up user access, and resolve service issues
• Manage internal operations workflow by liaising with Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Technology teams to fulfill and manage day-to-day market data requests
• Monitor relevant service changes, policy changes, product offerings, and strategic insights across the market data landscape through timely notifications to functional owners and business stakeholders
• Manage data feed entitlements and user permissions by utilizing tools such as DACS and EMRS to administer user and application-level data access
• Liaise with internal and external Technology teams to secure direct low latency feed access across new markets and regions
• Uphold data governance framework and assist with data and exchange audits
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (with strong academic record)
• 3+ years of experience with exposure to market data and vendor management
• Basic knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and key operational functions
• Financial industry experience required
• Experience working with data management (e.g. DACS, EMRS, etc.) and data governance is a plus
• Knowledge of market data infrastructure, including low latency exchange colocation access (data center facility operations, cross-connects, market data feed handlers, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and execute responsibilities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to uphold IP sensitivity framework and data compliance governance polices
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral/written communication skills
• Presentation and negotiation skills are a plus
• Strong attention to detail; excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Intellectual curiosity, openness to new challenges, and passion for learning

The annual base salary range for this role is $100,000-$125,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
