State Street is seeking a strategic Managing Director to lead the Alternatives & Private Markets Middle Office Technology, defining strategy, delivery, modernization, and risk management for Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and other asset classes.

The role partners with business, operations, product, risk, architecture, and engineering leaders to accelerate modernization, improve scalability and resiliency, and reduce technology risk across a complex portfolio.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
• Deep experience in financial services and asset management domains.
• Proven track record leading large technology transformation programs.
• Experience managing global teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• Knowledge of software engineering, cloud, and platform modernization.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term technology strategy for the Middle Office platform ecosystem.
• Own end-to-end technology delivery across Middle Office platforms and production support.
• Drive modernization, cloud adoption, architecture simplification, and transformation initiatives.
• Lead governance, metrics, and standards across globally distributed teams.
• Develop talent, culture of accountability, and financial management for the domain.
• Partner with business, operations, product, risk, and governance forums to align priorities.
