Job description

Stamford-based Hedge Fund that specializes in Structured Finance & Credit strategies is seeking an Operations Analyst to support the firm's day-to-day operational infrastructure across fund administration, custody, trade support, and corporate actions. This role is central to ensuring accurate, timely, and well-controlled operations across the firm's funds. The ideal candidate combines strong attention to detail with the judgment to identify process gaps and the initiative to design and implement improvements — not simply execute existing workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track corporate actions (mandatory and voluntary) and manage proxy voting
  • Prepare and process expense allocations across funds and entities
  • Perform position reconciliation across funds and entities, identifying and resolving breaks in coordination with fund administrators and custodians
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation against fund administrator records (SS&C, US Bank, Suntera), specifically expense allocations and accruals
  • Organize and complete the re-registration of physical securities
  • Manage the DWAC (Deposit/Withdrawal at Custodian) process end-to-end
  • Book trades including, but not limited to, fixed income buy/sell and repo transactions
  • Partner with custodians (US Bank, JPMorgan) and fund administrators (SS&C, US Bank, Suntera) to resolve operational issues
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing operational processes, and take ownership of implementing enhancements
Required Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of experience in hedge fund or structured finance operations (flexibility for a candidate outside this range)
  • Hands-on experience with position and/or cash reconciliation processes
  • Experience with fixed income and repo trade booking and settlements, including margin call management
  • Familiarity with corporate actions processing and proxy voting
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and array formulas
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong process discipline and follow-through
  • A self-starter mindset — someone who looks to improve processes, not just complete them
Nice to Have
  • Ability to write SQL queries (Snowflake and/or SQL Server) — query-writing only, not database administration
