Job Description:

Identify, solicit, develop, manage, service, retain, and grow long-term profitable middle market relationships within the assigned region. Offer a full range of services including loans, deposits, Capital Markets, Treasury, Risk Management, and other fee-based services to existing and prospective clients with $75MM to $500MM in annual sales. Collaborate with CCB Industry & Advisory teams to enhance client experience. Refer clients' business and personal financial needs through the appropriate channels following the Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) framework. Levels (I – II) should be differentiated based on experience, portfolio size, and potential, as determined by leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Leverage the Truist Sales Process, Financial Insights, Industry & Advisory team, and Leadership Institute to provide a differentiated client experience in all interactions.
  2. Develop and implement a marketing plan aimed at acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships, focusing on revenue growth.
  3. Contribute to the credit decision process, including financial statement analysis, credit structuring, underwriting, policy adherence, and risk management, aligned with Truist's risk appetite.
  4. Proactively engage with clients to deepen middle market banking relationships, identifying all financial needs and coordinating with appropriate partners to deliver solutions.
  5. Promote non-credit financial services within the middle market segment, focusing on fee-based revenue, including retail banking services for client owners/management/teammates (e.g., Private Wealth Management, Financial Wellness programs).
  6. Maintain expertise in finance, managing large, complex corporate relationships, and knowledge of credit products and structuring, including syndications and capital markets solutions.
  7. Ensure compliance with risk, operational, policy, and quality standards for the client portfolio.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and training
  • 10+ years experience in commercial banking
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing clients with total debt of $10 million or more
  • Proficiency in corporate finance, Capital Markets, Treasury, and non-credit services
  • Ability to analyze complex credits and financial data insightfully
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
