Job summary

HEAF is seeking a Facilitator & Program Support Aid for grades 6-12 to assist Achieve and Inspire programming. The role is part-time, temporary, with a hybrid schedule including in-person evenings and virtual days, up to 10 hours weekly at $25/hour, Sept 2026–May 2027.

Responsibilities include lesson facilitation, preparation, supervision, and family outreach. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in a related field or be graduate students, with 1–3 years in youth development or teaching, plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or graduate student status encouraged.
  • 1–3 years of teaching or youth-development experience with grades 6–12.
  • Experience with project-based or inquiry-based learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and classroom-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging lessons and activities and adapt instruction as needed.
  • Support Achieve and Inspire through planning, preparation, facilitation, and supervision.
  • Assist with family outreach, recordkeeping, and core program operations.
  • Work with students in grades 6–12 in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Chaperone trips, school visits, workshops, and events as assigned.
