Job summary

Huntington Learning Centers in Woodbury, MN seeks qualified tutors for grades 6–12 to help students build confidence and academic success. After a paid training period, you will provide in-center tutoring across reading, writing, math, and sciences to move students toward their goals.

Position offers flexible, part-time hours and ongoing professional development. We provide the curriculum and tailor programs to each student’s needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Expertise in Reading, Writing, English, Math, and/or Sciences.
• Certification/license as well as ACT/SAT experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in a 1 to 1 setting, or across small group up to 4.
• Focus on classroom skill development, subject tutoring, and test prep.
• Paid training and professional development opportunities.

Huntington Learning Centers have been helping students succeed in school for nearly 50 years. Our customized programs support students with closing the COVID gap, reaching goal SAT/ACT test scores, and moving to the front of the class academically. We offer programs in reading, phonics, and writing; math and sciences; comprehensive test prep; as well as IEP, ADHD, and study skills support.

We are looking for talented professionals experienced with grades 6-12 that will help students achieve self-confidence, motivation, and academic success. After a paid training period to learn our methods, you will spend your time teaching and making a difference in children's lives. We provide the curriculum and develop individualized programs for each student.

Teaching Hours

• Summer: Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm; Fridays & Saturdays 9am-3pm.
• School Year (starts early September): Monday-Thursday, 2-8:30pm; Fridays 3-7pm; Saturdays 9am-3pm.
