Job summary

Huntington Learning Center in West Des Moines is seeking tutors to work with students in a 1-to-1 setting or small groups up to four. You will focus on reading, writing, English, math, and sciences, with curriculum provided and tutoring conducted in the center.

Positions offer paid training, professional development, and a collaborative, rewarding work environment with flexible, part-time hours during the summer and school year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required.
• Expertise in Reading, Writing, English, Math, and/or Sciences.
• Certification/license as well as ACT/SAT experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in a 1 to 1 setting, or across a small group up to 4.
• Focus on classroom skill development, subject tutoring, and test prep.
• Tutoring takes place in the center and curriculum is provided.

Huntington Learning Centers have been helping students succeed in school for nearly 50 years. Our customized programs support students with closing the COVID gap, reaching goal SAT/ACT test scores, and moving to the front of the class academically. We offer programs in reading, phonics, and writing; math and sciences; comprehensive test prep; as well as IEP, ADHD, and study skills support.

The Opportunity

Teaching Hours

• Summer: Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm.
