Job summary

Huntington Learning Center is seeking qualified tutors for grades 6-12 to help students build confidence and academic success in a supportive, center-based setting.

Work includes 1-to-1 or small group tutoring, focus on reading, writing, English, math and sciences, with provided curriculum and paid training. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Expertise in Reading, Writing, English, Math and Sciences.
• Certification/license and ACT/SAT experience are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach students in 1-to-1 settings or small groups (up to 4).
• Focus on classroom skill development, subject tutoring and test prep.
• Tutor with provided curriculum and participate in paid training.

Huntington Learning Centers have been helping students succeed in school for nearly 50 years. Our customized programs support students with closing the COVID gap, reaching goal SAT/ACT test scores, and moving to the front of the class academically. We offer programs in reading, phonics, and writing; math and sciences; comprehensive test prep; as well as IEP, ADHD, and study skills support.

We are looking for talented professionals experienced with grades 6-12 that will help students achieve self-confidence, motivation, and academic success. After a paid training period to learn our methods, you will spend your time teaching and making a difference in children’s lives. We provide the curriculum and develop individualized programs for each student.

The Opportunity

Teaching Hours

• Summer: Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm; Fridays & Saturdays 9am-3pm.
• School Year (starts early September): Monday-Thursday, 2-8:30pm; Fridays 3-7pm; Saturdays 9am-3pm.

Requirements Include

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required.
• Expertise in Reading, Writing, English, Math, and/or Sciences.
• Certification/license as well as ACT/SAT experience a plus, but not required.
