Job summary

Huntington Learning Center is seeking part-time tutors to work with students in grades 6-12, delivering personalized instruction in reading, writing, English, math, and sciences. After a paid training period, you will teach and help students build confidence and academic success using our structured curriculum in-center.

Flexible, part-time hours are available. Bachelor's degree is required; ACT/SAT experience is a plus but not mandatory. Certification/licensure is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required.
• Expertise in Reading, Writing, English, Math, and/or Sciences.
• Certification/license as well as ACT/SAT experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach students 1:1 or in small groups (up to 4).
• Support classroom skill development, test prep, and subject tutoring.
• Participate in paid training and professional development.
• Deliver tutoring in-center using provided curriculum.

Huntington Learning Centers have been helping students succeed in school for nearly 50 years. Our customized programs support students with closing the COVID gap, reaching goal SAT/ACT test scores, and moving to the front of the class academically. We offer programs in reading, phonics, and writing; math and sciences; comprehensive test prep; as well as IEP, ADHD, and study skills support.

We are looking for talented professionals experienced with grades 6-12 that will help students achieve self-confidence, motivation, and academic success. After a paid training period to learn our methods, you will spend your time teaching and making a difference in children's lives. We provide the curriculum and develop individualized programs for each student.

The Opportunity:

• Work with students in a 1 to 1 setting, or across small group up to 4.

Teaching Hours:

• Summer: Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm; Fridays & Saturdays 9am-3pm.
• School Year (starts early September): Monday-Thursday, 2-8:30pm; Fridays 3-7pm; Saturdays 9am-3pm.
