Job description

Trevor Day School seeks a personable, detail-oriented, and organized Admissions Office Assistant to support the Middle and Upper School Admissions Office during the peak admissions season. This seasonal, full-time position is essential to the admissions process and plays a key role in creating a welcoming experience for prospective students and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily administrative and clerical support to the Middle and Upper School admissions team.

  • Schedule appointments and maintain the admissions calendar.

  • Coordinate and support student visits, interviews, campus tours, and admissions events.

  • Prepare, organize, and manage admissions materials, communications, and welcome packets.

  • Enter, track, and maintain applicant information in Ravenna, the school’s admissions platform.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to phone and email inquiries from prospective families.

  • Follow up on outstanding application materials and manage document processing.

  • Assist with preparation and logistics for admissions events.

  • Support fall evening admissions events, including setup, check-in, and on-site coordination.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred.

  • Previous clerical or administrative experience, preferably in a school or customer service setting.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar, Gmail) is essential.

  • Experience with Ravenna or other admissions platforms is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Clear, professional communication skills—both written and verbal.

  • Ability to multitask, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Friendly, welcoming demeanor and a commitment to confidentiality and discretion.

  • Availability to work occasional evening hours during the fall for key admissions events.

Hours and Compensation:

  • Seasonal Term: Late August through Mid-March.

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Occasional evening hours required in the fall for admissions events.

The salary range for this position is $33,000–$45,000. When extending an offer for employment, Trevor Day School bases the salary upon several factors that include (but are not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education, training, key skills, and peer salary equity.
