Headwaters School is seeking caring individuals to join our Middle and High School as Substitute Teachers. Ideal candidates will have teaching or childcare experience, flexible schedules, and a willingness to work with limited notice.

In both our Middle and High School, substitutes support daily lessons, manage the classroom, and promote student learning when regular teachers are away. A Bachelor's degree is required; IB or Montessori experience is preferred.

- About this Position -

Substitute Teachers are responsible for providing and implementing the daily lesson plans according to the School's requirements. In addition, they are charged with managing the classroom environment, providing activities, materials, and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, required

Working Conditions:

Services are generally provided within a standard classroom environment. Some movement throughout the classroom is generally necessary to facilitate learning (e.g., standing, walking, stooping, bending, sitting, and/or kneeling). Light lifting of materials and other objects associated within a classroom environment is required (e.g., books, teaching aids, up to approximately 20 to 40 lbs.).
