Headwaters School is seeking an Early Childhood Substitute Teacher to support K-12 classrooms and early childhood (ages 18 months to 5 years). The role requires flexibility, readiness for limited notice, and passion for helping children learn in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities include following daily lesson plans, managing the classroom, and promoting student learning when the regular teacher is away. Montessori knowledge is a plus, and a professional appearance is required.

Headwaters School is currently hiring Substitute Teachers for grades K-12 as well as Early Childhood (ages 18 months - 5 years of age). - About this Position -

Substitute Teachers are responsible for providing and implementing the daily lesson plans according to the School's requirements. In addition, they are charged with managing the classroom environment, providing activities, materials, and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Knowledge of Montessori educational philosphy, preferred
• Experience working with children/students, required
• Professional appearance

• Knowledge of subject area assigned.

Working Conditions:

Services are generally provided within a standard classroom environment. Some movement throughout the classroom is generally necessary to facilitate learning (e.g., standing, walking, stooping, bending, sitting, and/or kneeling). Light lifting of materials and other objects associated within a classroom environment is required (e.g., books, teaching aids, up to approximately 20 to 40 lbs.).
