Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level Associate Attorney to join its Energy, Infrastructure, and Project Finance practice. This role offers the opportunity to advise major players in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on the development, acquisition, and financing of complex energy projects. The ideal candidate will possess significant transactional experience in project development, M&A, or finance matters specific to the energy industry.

Duties

1. Represent sponsors and financing entities in transactions related to renewable energy projects.
2. Draft and negotiate key project development and operation contracts, including:
1. Supply Agreements
2. Offtake Agreements
3. Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Agreements
3. Draft and negotiate ancillary documents for:
1. Tax equity investments
2. M&A transactions
4. Collaborate with internal legal teams and external stakeholders.
5. Take a lead role in client communications and project management.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 4 years of experience in the energy industry.
2. Prior experience at a nationally recognized law firm or equivalent in-house counsel role.
3. Demonstrated experience in renewable energy project development, finance, or M&A.
4. Ability to manage complex transactions and work effectively within a team.

Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top-tier, accredited law school. Strong academic performance required.

Certifications

1. Active admission to a U.S. state bar.
2. Member in good standing with the bar in the state of residence.
