Qualifications

• Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
• Mid-Level: High School Diploma/GED + five years of practical experience, or degree + 3 years in electronics.
• Senior-Level: High School Diploma/GED + ten years, or degree + 6 years in electronics.
• Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and designing solutions for hardware/software problems.
• Ability to read engineering documents and technical drawings.
• Proficient with LAN maintenance and management (switches/routers/cable systems).
• Travel up to 10% of time.

Responsibilities

• Inspect installation and test/evaluate submarine imaging systems per specs.
• Perform system integration validations for ISIS and PMV variants.
• Develop PMS data, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, and drawings updates.
• Implement Engineering Change Instructions (ECI).
• Train others in operation and performance of the system(s).
• Direct on-site customer interface for installation, testing, survey, fabrication, etc.

Amentum is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-to-Senior Integrated Submarine Imaging System AN/BVY-1 (ISIS) Specialist to join our Groton, CT team. This position provides onsite installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of ISIS.

Essential Responsibilities

• Inspect the installation of and perform or coordinate the test and evaluation of submarine imaging systems to ensure compliance with system installation and design specifications.
• Perform system integration validations/verifications of various electronic systems related to the operation of the ISIS System and Photonics Mast Variants (PMV) to include Mast Technical Insertion (MTI) and Low-Profile Photonics Mast (LPPM)
• Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), Technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.
• Implement Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
• Train others in the operation and performance of the system(s).
• Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications and test procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
• Mid-Level Education & Experience: High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of practical experience, OR an applicable degree/formal electronics training combined with three (3) years of practical experience
• Senior-Level Education & Experience: High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of practical experience, OR an applicable degree/formal electronics training combined with six (6) years of practical experience
• Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
• Ability to read engineering documents and technical drawings.
• Must be proficient with LAN maintenance and management to include switches, routers and structured cable systems.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience with Submarine Periscope Systems.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
