Job summary

Penske Logistics is hiring a Lead Warehouse Clerk for mid shift in Houston, TX. You’ll manage workflow, inventory accuracy, and communicate tasks to the team, customers, and partners. Schedule: Mon–Fri 10:00am–6:30pm with overtime as needed.

Hourly rate $24.00 + $1.00 shift differential, with competitive benefits. Requirements include 2+ years in shipping/receiving or inventory, 1+ year customer service, strong computer skills (MS Office, SAP, WMS), and ability to learn warehouse systems and

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of shipping/receiving office or inventory clerk experience and 1+ year of customer service preferred.
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; SAP, Blue Yonder/JDA, and WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Control the flow of work within the facility to meet receiving and departure times while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Monitor daily operations for safety and logistics procedures.
Communicate daily work assignments to shift associates and with team, customers, and process partners via radio, phone, and email.
Resolve operational issues on a first-line basis, including system, equipment, and associate-related concerns.
Perform data setup, validation, and inventory management, including unsalable inventory resolution.
Assist with daily and weekly operational reports.
Work multi-tasked in a fast-paced environment while remaining detail-oriented.
Prioritize work and adjust to changing workload requirements.
Assist in special projects and take on additional responsibilities.
Work collaboratively to achieve team goals and meet warehouse performance metrics.
