Job summary

Center for Family Services seeks an experienced Mid-Shift Manager for the Crisis Diversion Home in Warren County, NJ. This role oversees shift activities, supports admissions, ensures safety, and mentors Residential Counselors and Technicians in a 24-hour residential setting for adults recovering from a mental health crisis.

Qualified candidates will have a BA in social work or allied field, at least two years in behavioral health, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• BA degree in social work or allied field preferred.
• At least two years experience working with individuals in the behavioral health field.
• Experience with MI/DD population preferred.
• Good communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements the occupational, recreational, social and other developmental plans designed for each individual in the Crisis Diversion Home.
• Assists with admissions and orientation procedures and schedules.
• Direct supervision of shift activities and teamwork.
• Assists in client safety and well-being.
• Provides training for new Residential Counselors and Behavioral Health Technicians.
• Complete required paperwork neatly and timely.

Program Summary:

Center For Family Services is seeking experienced and professionalShift Manager for the Crisis Diversion Home Program. This is a 24-hour residential group homefor adults who recently experienced a mental health crisis. The Crisis Diversion Home providesa nurturing, supportive, and structured environment where our consumers can develop trust,learn to manage their illness and live independently.

Location:Warren County, NJ

Job Type/Status:Full Time, Mid shiftday

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans and implements the occupational, recreational, social and other developmental plans designed for each individual in the Crisis Diversion Home.
• Assists with the admission process on new client admissions and orientation procedures and schedules.
• Responsible for ensuring the internal and external facilities of the program are maintained in a way to present CFS as a good neighbor and welcomed member of the community.
• Direct supervision of shift activities and approach each shift in a team perspective.
• Assists in the supervision of clients with emphasis on client safety and well-being.
• Assists in providing shift coverage and completes shift responsibilities.
• Provides training for new Residential Counselors and Behavioral Health Technicians.
• Complete all assigned paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
• Complete incident reports according to policy in a timely, accurate manner.
• Communicate with other staff to promote quality client care.
• Observe and report safety or maintenance problems.
• Participate in required staff training staff meetings and supervision as scheduled.
• Ensure all over the counter prescription medication is correctly administered and documented.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA degree in social work or allied field preferred, experience may be substituted for education
• At least two years experience working with individuals in the behavioral health field
• Experience with MI/DD population preferred
• Good communication and problem solving skills
• Current driver's license with a good driving record of at least three years
