Job summary

Oak Park Care Center seeks compassionate CNAs to join our care team delivering high-quality resident care in a senior living setting. You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and personal care, while maintaining dignity and safety for residents.

We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying full-time candidates, competitive pay based on experience, PTO and holidays, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Earned wage access is also available.

Qualifications

• CNA education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass a state-issued exam.
• CNA licenses: Valid Missouri CNA certification required.
• Six months CNA experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care.
• Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises.
• Provide for personal care and comfort.
• Assist movement to wheelchairs or activity areas.
• Assist ambulation for short distances in the facility.
• Record temperatures, BP, pulse, respiration, and intake/output.
• Provide direct and indirect resident care services.
• Meet communication needs of residents and families.
• Inform nursing team about changes in residents' condition.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Afternoons 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Essential Functions:

• Alzheimer's/Dementia experience is a plus!

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs

• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed

• Provides direct and indirect resident care services

• Meets the communication needs of resident and family

• Communicates to nursing team changes in residents' clinical condition

• Performs other tasks as assigned

Skills:

• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff

Requirements:

• CNA Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must pass a state-issued exam

• CNA Licenses: Required Valid certification as a CNA in the state of Missouri

• Certified Nursing Assistant Experience: Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
