Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Studio 5000 v3.x and Logix platforms experience.
• Safety PLC programming experience.
• PanelView ME/SE HMIs experience.

Mid/Senior PLC control programmer

Location: Sterling Heights, MI.

As a Mid/Senior PLC control programmer with Cardinal Staffing Services, you will work in a fast-paced distribution environment and be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems with a focus on motion control applications.
• Develop customized control algorithms and motion profiles to optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLCs with other control systems, such as HMI and SCADA.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in PLC programming and motion control technologies.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in PLC programming, with a strong emphasis on Siemens platforms (e.g., S7-1500, TIA Portal).
• Proven track record in designing and implementing motion control systems, including servo and stepper motor applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram.
