Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Group Manager of Software Development (M3) to lead engineering teams building the AI-native Mid-Market ERP platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience managing engineers or engineering teams.
• Proven track record building and operating large-scale business applications, SaaS platforms, or distributed systems; ERP, financials, or business operations domain experience is a strong plus.
• Applied AI fluency, with hands-on experience shipping generative AI and agentic systems to production — LLM orchestration, multi-agent architectures, tool use/function calling, retrieval (RAG), and evaluation/guardrail frameworks.
• Strong technical depth in architecture, API design, distributed systems, platform reliability, and breaking-change management.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-team initiatives with significant cross-organizational dependencies.
• Experience with modern service and data technologies — Java, Python, TypeScript, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Spark, AWS/GCP, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience instrumenting and iterating on AI systems in production, with data-backed experimentation.
• Builder's mindset and ability to shape a new product and platform in a fast-evolving AI landscape.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with executives.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams and technical leaders across backend services, data, and AI/agentic systems for the Mid-Market ERP.
• Set technical direction for AI-native product experiences using LLM orchestration, multi-agent systems, tool use, retrieval, and evaluation frameworks.
• Partner with product, design, architecture, and platform teams to define strategic roadmaps and manage cross-organizational dependencies.
• Drive design and delivery of AI-native workflows embedding AI-driven automation with AI-to-human collaboration.
• Lead teams building intelligent systems that proactively capture data signals and automate processes to improve customer decision making.
• Drive scalable service and data foundations with reliable, secure, and performant architectures.
• Establish reliability, safety, observability, and evaluation standards for AI systems in production.
• Drive operational excellence through strong reliability, incident management, and platform health metrics.
• Foster an engineering culture focused on technical excellence, customer empathy, accountability, and sustainable execution.
