Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior AI Scientist to join the Mid-Market Intelligence team to build AI-native ERP experiences and scalable agentic systems.

You will work with data, develop models spanning LLMs to classical ML, run rigorous evaluations, and collaborate with product and engineering to ship MVPs.

This role requires advanced degree and 3+ years in AI, with strong communication and Linux proficiency; base pay reflects Mountain View location and market norms.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in CS, Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, or related field.
• 3+ years of AI science experience with production rollout of LLM-powered or agentic experiences.
• Experience with LLM APIs, orchestration frameworks, RAG/retrieval, tool use, fine-tuning, and guardrails.
• 3+ years of Python experience (scikit‑learn, PyTorch, or similar).
• Experience in data mining and statistical modeling (clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection, recommender systems, sequential patterns, text mining).
• Strong experimental rigor: designing A/B tests and offline/online evaluations.
• Proficient in SQL, Hive, or SparkSQL; Spark/PySpark a plus.
• Comfortable in Linux; able to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Apply state‑of‑the‑art AI and agentic tech to AI‑native mid‑market ERP experiences.
• Perform hands‑on data analysis and modeling with large real‑world datasets.
• Build intelligent systems that automate processes and improve decision making.
• Design rigorous evaluation frameworks for LLMs and agentic systems (offline/online).
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and designers to design experiments and MVPs.
• Discover, access, clean, and prepare data; perform ETL as needed.
• Create and refine features and retrieval strategies; gain ERP domain intuition.
• Run A/B tests and online experiments; analyze and report results.
• Explore new AI research to enhance customer benefits and adapt to evolving landscape.
