Job summary

Quotient, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Web Developer to help build engaging, accessible digital experiences for the Smithsonian. You will bridge front-end interfaces with backend systems, ensuring responsive, high-performance web applications within an Agile team.

You will collaborate with UX/UI designers, Drupal CMS specialists, and museum stakeholders to implement WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, modular code, and robust tests across projects.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional front-end or full-stack web development.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 (Sass), and vanilla JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one modern JS framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Experience building/theming components for enterprise CMS (Drupal preferred).
• Demonstrated accessibility knowledge (Section 508 / WCAG).
• Strong Git version-control skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications and features.
• Ensure accessibility and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across products.
• Integrate front-end with CMS platforms (Drupal) and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders in Agile sprints.
• Implement unit tests, perform code reviews, and troubleshoot issues across browsers.
• Optimize performance for high-traffic Smithsonian digital properties.
