Job summary

Clera in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a hands-on Talent Operations professional to supervise AI recruiting agents and intervene when human judgment is needed. You will support senior-candidate conversations, improve AI performance, and guide candidates through final stages.

You will partner with product, engineering and leadership, use KPIs and analytics to drive decisions, and contribute to building scalable recruiting playbooks. Health insurance and visa sponsorship are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in talent operations, recruiting, or sourcing at early-stage technology startups.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to assess output quality.
• Experience closing placements and managing final-stage candidate conversations, including offer negotiation.
• Ability to use KPIs, dashboards, A/B tests, or conversion analysis to inform recruiting decisions.
• Experience partnering with product, engineering, and leadership teams to improve AI/ML systems.
• Familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript, Python, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, or Supabase.

About the Role

Help make AI-powered recruiting work reliably at scale. You will supervise AI recruiting agents, step in when human judgment matters, and help the team improve how people and AI work together.

What You'll Do

• Monitor candidate conversations and intervene when an AI agent makes an error or needs human judgment.

• Handle senior-candidate conversations, objections, compensation discussions, and other high-stakes moments.

• Review agent responses, label examples, and provide feedback to improve agent performance.

• Audit candidate matches, outreach quality, and conversion data across recruiting workflows.

• Guide candidates through final stages, manage offers, and help close placements.

• Document effective practices, create SOPs, and build operational playbooks.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of experience in talent operations, recruiting, or sourcing at early-stage technology startups.

• Hands‑on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar to assess output quality, identify errors, and understand limitations.

• Experience closing placements and managing final-stage candidate conversations, including offer negotiation and objection handling.

• Ability to use KPIs, dashboards, A/B tests, or conversion analysis to inform recruiting decisions.

• Experience partnering with product, engineering, and leadership teams, and providing feedback to improve AI or machine learning systems.

• Familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript, Python, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, or Supabase is helpful.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base compensation with uncapped performance-based pay tied to placements. Performance-based equity may be available after a successful 90-day performance period. Health insurance and visa sponsorship are available.
