Job summary

WSP’s Lake Oswego, Oregon office is seeking an Intermediate Level Structural Engineer to support electrical substation projects and collaborate with the Pacific Civil/Structural Substation team.

You will perform planning, analysis, design, and delivery of structural solutions, including foundations, structural supports, and control building design, while coordinating with disciplines to ensure code compliance and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles and design/build processes.
• Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support electrical substation structural design, including foundations and supports.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines on substation design results.
• Prepare calculation packages to satisfy client and code requirements.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support.
• Ensure plans meet client and WSP standards and project budgets.
