Job Description

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking candidates for a full-time Mid-Level Structural Engineer.

Responsibilities include:

1. Design and construction administration for water and wastewater treatment projects.
2. Production of design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans, and specifications for Water / Wastewater projects including plant upgrades, storage facilities, pipelines, stormwater systems, pump stations, and distribution/collection systems.
3. Participate in construction administration services such as submittal review, responding to RFI’s, and clarifications during construction.

Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills and ability to work successfully in a multi-discipline team environment.
• Experience in design and construction of structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and aluminum structures.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and design standards including ACI and AISC.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
• Experience with water and wastewater systems, including designing, reviewing, and approving project drawings and specifications.
• Between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Passed the PE exam.
