Job description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level Structural Engineer in our New Haven, CT, Office.

We manage the entire project lifecycle, from study and planning to design and construction. Responsibilities

1. Prepare structural and bridge construction plans for state and municipally owned structures under the supervision of a lead engineer.
2. Complete engineering computations to support detailed plans and construction documents.
3. Adhere to quality control and quality assurance procedures.
4. Communicate and coordinate effectively with the design team.
5. Perform bridge site visits for data collection as needed.
6. Perform load ratings on CTDOT and municipally owned bridges and other structures.

Requirements

1. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
2. CT PE license (or the ability to obtain one) preferred; EIT certification is a plus.
3. Three to five years of structural engineering experience.
4. Exposure to MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
5. Competent use of MIDAS Civil, AASHTOWare Brr, and/or Csi Bridge.
6. Familiarity with Bentley OpenBridge Modeler and/or the CTDOT Connect Digital Design Environment.
7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
