Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Software Engineer (AWS/Javascript) to modernize how the company manages relationships across associates, agents, and product/policy agreements. You will work on the APAR product, collaborating with modernization teams to deploy AWS-based solutions and migrate data to AWS.

Responsibilities include building APIs, AWS Lambda functions, integrating event-driven architectures, and participating in on-premises to AWS migrations within a large enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming; solid OO design.
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies and API Gateway.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and data migration processes.
  • Understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to design data & application architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and support AWS-based enterprise solutions.
  • Build capabilities across multiple business areas for APAR relationships.
  • Develop and integrate APIs, AWS Lambda functions, and event-driven solutions.
  • Participate in migrating data and applications to AWS.
  • Design stories from an Agile backlog and implement them.

The Associate Management Product Suite is seeking a Software Engineer (AWS /Javascript) to help modernize how State Farm manages relationships between associates, agents, and products/policy agreements across the Enterprise.

You'll work on the Associate to Product Agreement Relationships (APAR) product and collaborate with teams across Personal Lines Modernization, Business Lines Modernization, Life Modernization, Health, Investment Planning Services, Bank and other Alliance products.   • Potential starting salary range: $97,000 - $135,000
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience. **High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience**
